Two Shin Bet officers were wounded in a shooting attack near the Gush Etzion illegal settlement in Al-Khalil on Tuesday afternoon.
Israeli media sources reported that a Palestinian lured Shin Bet members to a wooded area near the Etzion settlement, south of Bethlehem, and opened fire on them from zero range before he was assassinated.
One of the two injured was in serious condition.
The attacker was shot at the scene, the sources added.
The West Bank has been witnessing a growing escalation in Israeli forces and settlers’ attacks since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7.
