The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor called on the international community to intervene immediately to stop the ongoing massacre being committed by the Israeli occupation army in Al-Shifa Medical Complex and its vicinity, which has led to the martyrdom of at least 100 Palestinians, many of whom were subjected to field executions and deliberate physical liquidation after arrest.

The Euro-Mediterranean Monitor said in a statement on Wednesday, it has received new testimonies from released detainees and eyewitnesses on Israeli field executions against displaced Palestinian civilians inside Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City, as part of its ongoing military operations at the complex for the third day in a row.

The Euro-Med highlighted the testimony of M. KH, who requested to remain anonymous, quoting him as saying that he was detained for more than nine hours, during which Israeli soldiers were taking detainees behind the hospital’s morgue area, before gunshots were heard, and the soldiers returned without the detainees.

“The soldiers detained me and handcuffed me in the hospital courtyard for more than nine hours after I had been forcibly undressed. I noticed for approximately four times that soldiers took groups of detainees, about 3 to 10 people in each group, towards the hospital’s morgue area. The sounds of gunshots (two gunshots) were heard, and then the soldiers returned without the detainees to drag a new group to that area.”

Another witness who asked to keep his name unveiled and was one of the displaced people who were able to leave Al-Shifa Medical Complex in the last hours, confirmed to the Euro-Med team that he saw Israeli forces taking 8 to 10 Palestinian civilians to Al-Shifa Complex morgue area, then he heard the sounds of heavy gunfire before the Israeli forces returned without them.

The Euro-Med expressed its concerns over the fate of these civilians, warning against probably subjecting them to field executions, recalling the killing of 100 Palestinians inside and around Al-Shifa Medical Complex since it was re-stormed on Monday night.

Euro-Med indicated that the Israeli army admitted the killing of 90 people during the ongoing military operation in Al-Shifa Medical Complex.

The human rights organization called for the formation of an international commission of inquiry into war crimes and crimes against humanity being committed by Israeli occupation forces, including physical liquidations and extrajudicial executions of civilians.

It pointed out that Israel is still detaining hundreds of citizens, including immobile patients and medical staff, with no food, drink, or electricity for the third day in a row, amid an atmosphere of intimidation under continuous and intense shooting.

The Euro-Med also highlighted that the Israeli occupation army arrested around 320 people, including displaced people, medical teams, and journalists, who were forced to completely undress and were tortured during field investigation, before allowing them later on to get dressed in thin white clothes before transporting more than half of them in military trucks towards Israeli detention centers.

The Euro-Mediterranean Monitor expressed its deep concern about the current situation in Al-Shifa Medical Complex and the dangers facing civilians, including patients, health workers and the displaced inside it, fleeing the Israeli military attacks, stressing the need to protect hospitals and medical facilities, and the need for the United Nations and relevant international organizations to move to stop the grave Israeli attacks on hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
