Following 47 days of detention, the Israeli occupation army released seven Palestinian citizens working for the Red Crescent in the Gaza Strip, while the fate of eight others is still unknown.
In an X post on Thursday, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that the Israeli forces released seven people of its medical and ambulance crew who had been kidnaped from Al-Amal Hospital on February 9, 2024.
Those detainees, including director of its ambulance and emergency services and its spokesman in Gaza Mohamed Abu Musbeh, had spent 47 days in an Israeli detention center.
There are still eight other Red Crescent workers in Israeli detention and their fate is not known.
The Red Crescent recently appealed to the international community to protect its cadres and its facilities against systematic attacks by the Israeli army.
