The Hamas Movement has strongly denounced the US administration for intending to send more bombs and warplanes to Israel to use it in its war on the Gaza Strip.
“This confirms that the brutal war of extermination that is waged by the Zio-Nazi occupation against our people in the Gaza Strip is taking place in full partnership with this administration,” Hamas said in a statement on Saturday.
Hamas said that the administration of president Joe Biden insists on providing unlimited political and military support for the Israeli occupation regime, which seeks to “exterminate our people and displace them from their land.”
Hamas stressed that the US administration’s renewed military support for the Israeli occupation and its fascist practices confirms that it lies about its concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the catastrophe that was caused by its support for Israel’s killing machine.
The Movement described the US administration’s ideas about protecting the civilians in Gaza as “misleading” and “aimed at covering up the ongoing Israeli crimes.”
It appealed to the international community and the UN to work on slapping a complete ban on the supply of weapons to Israel and take steps to stop the Israeli aggression against Gaza.
The US administration has greenlighted the transfer of a new $2.5bn weapons package, comprising bombs and fighter jets, to Israel, according to US media reports.
Despite expressing concern about civilian casualties in Gaza, the White House arms package includes more than 1,800 MK84 2,000-pound (900kg) bombs and 500 MK82 500-pound (225kg) bombs, according to Pentagon and Department of State officials, the Washington Post reported.
