The Government Media Office (GMO) in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the number of journalists who have been killed in the Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, mounted to 138.
The GMO explained that the number of journalist martyrs increased after the martyrdom of journalist Muhammad Abu Sakhil during the criminal Israeli raid into Al-Shifa Medical complex in Gaza.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the Israeli occupation forces withdrew on Monday from Al-Shifa Hospital, and its surrounding areas, two weeks after they had launched a large-scale military operation at the site, leaving dozens of martyrs and massive destruction in the medical complex and its vicinity.
“Dozens of bodies were recovered from inside and around the medical complex,” the ministry said.
The pace of targeting Palestinian journalists has increased since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, in an attempt to obscure the truth and terrorize journalists and news channels to prevent them from covering the Israeli ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.
