Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) seized on Monday 170 dunums belonging to villagers of Arab Al-Ta’amra, east of Bethlehem, purportedly for being classified as “state land”.
According to anti-wall and settlements organizations, this land seizure is the third that took place under the same pretext since the beginning of 2024, bringing the total of lands confiscated by the IOA to a total of 11,000 dunums of lands in Jerusalem, Nablus, and Bethlehem.
The land confiscation is intended to make room for expanding the nearby Israeli settlement of Sidi Bar, established in 1998 on lands belonging to the villagers of Al-Oqban in Al-Taamra, the source added.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces delivered notices to stop construction works and to remove agricultural caravans from “Khallet Qasoul” area, south of Deir Ballut town, west of Salfit city in the West Bank.
