The Hamas Movement said on Wednesday that the UNRWA announcement that the Israeli occupation army continues to prevent the agency’s teams from reaching northern Gaza to provide humanitarian aid to Palestinians indicates Israel’s insistence on continuing its fascist war of starvation against Palestinian civilians.
The Movement confirmed in a statement that the policy of preventing aid delivery and the systematic targeting of all means of providing relief to Gaza aims at punishing the Palestinian people by forcing them to leave their land under the burden of famine and continuing massacres.
Hamas called on the international community and the United Nations to take urgent action and put pressure on the criminal Israeli entity to stop using starvation as a weapon, preventing aid delivery, and targeting aid workers.
The Movement stressed the need to deter the Israeli occupation army from targeting UNRWA, and to take actual measures to hold it accountable for its ongoing crimes against defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip contrary to all values of humanity.
