The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested on Saturday at least 30 Palestinian citizens from the West Bank, including three women from Occupied Jerusalem before being released later on the day.

The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said in a joint statement on Saturday, that “the arrests took place mostly in Nour Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem Governorate, which is subject to Israeli military operation since Thursday.”

“The arrests in the Nour Shams camps have included at least 15 citizens, including children, and wounded,” the statement added.

It noted that the new arrests brought the total number of Palestinians who have been detained by the IOF since October 7 to 8,340.

Parallel to its ongoing war on Gaza since October 7, the Israeli army has escalated raids and arrests in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem.

“Israeli arrest campaigns constitute the most prominent systematic policy used by the IOF as a tool of collective punishment against Palestinians, in light of the comprehensive aggression against our people and the ongoing genocide in Gaza,” the statement added.
