Head of Hamas Movement’s political bureau, Ismail Haneyya, received in his office in Istanbul on Monday a delegation from the Turkish Great Unity Party headed by Mustafa Bastci.

The meeting discussed political and field developments related to the aggressive war on the Gaza Strip, and ways to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

Haneyya acquainted the visitors with the latest developments on the Israeli war of genocide and crimes against humanity as well as its regional and international repercussions, affirming at the same time the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their commitment to continuing their just struggle and clinging to their rights and national principles of liberation, self-determination, and the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Haneyya received a delegation from the Turkish Huda Par Party headed by Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu and discussed political and field developments related to the aggressive war on the Gaza Strip, and ways to support and sustain the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

The Turkish delegation praised the steadfastness and resilience of the Palestinian people and their adherence to their complete national rights, dubbing the Palestinian resistance as a legendary model at the level of the region and the world that led to everlasting changes.

The delegation conveyed its sincere condolences to the head of the Movement for the martyrdom of three of his sons and five of his grandchildren, and for all Palestinian martyrs who fall daily in the Israeli ongoing massacres.

The Turkish delegation also reiterated its solidarity with the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli war of genocide, stressing the right of the Palestinian people to defend themselves and the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire.

Since October 7 last year, the Israeli occupation forces have been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, resulting in tens of thousands of martyrs, wounded and missing, in addition to the displacement of two million people and a massive destruction of homes and infrastructure that affected more than 70% of the buildings in the Gaza Strip which is under a suffocating siege and witnessing a stifling humanitarian crisis and an unprecedented famine, especially in Gaza and its north.
