Political Bureau member of Hamas Movement, Ezzet al-Resheq has charged that Israel was not serious about reaching an agreement on Gaza and was exploiting the negotiations to cover for its military offensive on Rafah.
He added in a press release on Wednesday that Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu was resorting to unjustified pretexts to evade concluding an agreement and was blaming Hamas and the mediators.
Hamas’s approval of the mediators’ proposals had confused Netanyahu, Resheq said, adding that his Movement was still bound by its approval of the proposals.
