The Palestinian Ministry of Health has said that the Israeli occupation army is committing a new genocide by closing crossings and preventing entry and exit, especially for the travel of the wounded and patients, as well as the entry of medical supplies, food trucks, and the necessary fuel to operate hospitals.
The ministry added in a statement on Thursday that every hour some of the wounded, who were waiting to travel to neighboring countries, die due to the Israeli control and closure of the crossing, preventing the wounded individuals from traveling.
The Ministry of Health pointed out that the only kidney dialysis center in Rafah governorate has stopped operating due to shelling and the Israeli threats. It added that the wounded and patients are facing slow death due to the lack of treatment and supplies, while being unable to travel.
The ministry stated that it has sent lists to neighboring countries, including referrals for wounded and patients of all age groups, especially cancer patients, liver transplant patients, and kidney transplant patients, who have been unable to travel due to the Israeli closure of the crossing.
The ministry issued an urgent humanitarian appeal to exert pressure on Israel and take immediate action to save the lives of these patients and wounded individuals, and to open the crossings for the entry of necessary medical and relief trucks to the hospitals.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has resulted in the death of 34,844 citizens and the injury of 78,404 others, in addition to the displacement of approximately 1.7 million people from the population of the Gaza Strip, according to data from the United Nations.
