The member of Hamas Political Bureau, Ezzat Al-Resheq, said on Monday that Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks demanding Hamas to surrender and lay down its weapons in order to stop the aggression on Gaza is nothing but ridiculous statements that reflect his predicament.
Resheq pointed out that Netanyahu did not achieve any of his war goals, except for committing more horrific massacres against defenseless civilians.
The Hamas leader underlined that Netanyahu is selling an illusion by talking about considering expelling Hamas leaders from the Gaza Strip after the end of the war, on the condition of the Movement’s “surrender”.
He explained that “such statements confirm once again that he is still living his illusions and dreams of achieving an alleged victory that will never come true.”
The Israeli occupation army has continued its aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, with US and European support, leading to the martyrdom of 35,091 people and the injury of 78,827 others, in addition to the displacement of about 1.7 million people from the Strip’s population, according to United Nations data.
