Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said on Saturday that its fighters killed 15 Israeli soldiers in an ambush in eastern Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
In a communiqué, al-Qassam Brigades explained that a group of its fighters targeted a house in eastern Rafah with an anti-personnel explosive device, killing and injuring 15 Israeli soldiers who barricaded themselves inside.
After detonating the explosive device, the fighters stormed the house in al-Tanour neighborhood and killed the remaining soldiers with machineguns and hand grenades.
Al-Qassam fighters also attacked a “Merkava 4” tank with one Yassin 105 projectile in the same neighborhood in eastern Rafah.
