A Palestinian citizen was gunned down by Israeli police officers on Sunday morning at a military checkpoint near Abu Dis town, east of Occupied Jerusalem, at the pretext of his attempt to carry out a stabbing attack.
According to Israeli police and media reports, the incident occurred when a Palestinian man approached the checkpoint and pulled out a sharp object, attempting to stab police officers.
The police said the officers at the scene responded swiftly by shooting the Palestinian and neutralizing him, without stating his identity or if he was injured or killed.
