The death toll from the Israeli occupation army’s ongoing aggression against Jenin City and its refugee camp since Tuesday morning has risen to eight martyrs and 21 wounded civilians.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that the death toll in Jenin climbed to eight martyrs after one of its ambulance crews was able to reach another victim in al-Hadaf neighborhood in Jenin City, adding that 21 citizens were also injured, some seriously, by Israeli gunfire.
PRCS pointed out that its ambulance sustained bullet holes in its structure in al-Hadaf neighborhood after Israeli soldiers opened fire at it, adding that the soldiers stopped the ambulance as it was evacuating the martyr to the hospital.
Meanwhile, resistance fighters from al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas and other armed groups have been engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces in Jenin since Tuesday morning.
Yesterday evening, six citizens, including a volunteer paramedic, were reportedly injured by live ammunition fired by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Jenin.
The IOF also kidnaped a woman identified as 50-year-old Wafa Jarrar from al-Marah neighborhood in Jenin after ransacking her home and assaulting members of her family.
One of the wounded citizens was journalist Amr Manasra. He suffered a bullet injury in his back during his presence near the Jenin Hospital.
Yesterday morning, Israeli forces stormed Jenin’s streets while opening fire indiscriminately at local residents, killing at least seven civilians, including a doctor, a teacher and a student. Many people were also wounded, including several students.
The IOF reportedly went on the rampage through Jenin’s streets, bulldozing public and private property, including roads, cars and businesses.
Israeli snipers, who stormed buildings in Jenin, embarked on opening fire at pedestrians, journalists, paramedics, ambulances and different vehicles, amid drone overflights.
In a related context, the Government Media Office (GMO) has condemned the massacre that was committed on Tuesday by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Jenin City and its refugee camp in the West Bank.
“This new massacre in Jenin and the previous attacks that were carried out by the occupation army and settler groups in different West Bank areas, in addition to its ongoing aggression against Gaza, are damning evidence of the criminal mentality that rules the occupation state and its ideological belief in killing our people and committing genocide against them wherever they are,” GMO said.
