Brigadier General Diaa Al-Din Al-Shorafa, the Deputy Commander of the National Security Forces in the Gaza Strip, was martyred as a result of an assassination operation carried out by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday morning in the center of Gaza City.
The Ministry of Interior said in a statement that an IOF drone targeted Al-Shorafa while he was on a field tour in the Al-Saraya area in the center of Gaza City this morning, and four other officers accompanying him were also injured. They were targeted while carrying out their duty in service of the people despite the aggression, it added.
For its part, the Ministry of Health announced today that the IOF had committed 9 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, in which 91 martyrs and 210 injuries were reported.
For the 229th day, the IOF continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip; the death toll of the aggression ongoing since last October 7 last year has risen to 35,800 martyrs, most of them women and children.
