Karim Khan: No one has a license to commit war crimes

LONDON, (PIC)

The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, affirmed on Sunday that no one has a license to commit war crimes or crimes against humanity.

Khan said, “There are a number of allegations directed at Israel, including the fact that water has been cut off from Gaza, that people who lined up to get food were targeted, and that people from aid agencies were killed.”

He considered, in a statement reported by the British Sunday Times newspaper, that “this is not the way war should be waged.”

He added, “If this is what compliance with international humanitarian law looks like, then the Geneva Conventions serve no purpose.”

The Israeli occupation army has been continuing its aggression on the Gaza Strip since last October 7th, with American and European support, as its planes bombard the surroundings of hospitals, in addition to buildings, towers and homes of Palestinian civilians, destroying them over the heads of their inhabitants, and preventing the entry of water, food, medicine and fuel.

The continued Israeli aggression on Gaza has led to the martyrdom of 35,984 people, the injury of 80,643 others, in addition to the displacement of about 1.7 million people, according to UN data.
