Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya met on Sunday with Turkish foreign minister Hakan Fidan in Doha and discussed with him the latest developments related to the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.

According to Hamas’s website, Haneyya briefed the Turkish minister on the efforts underway to put an end to Israel’s war crimes in Gaza.

The Hamas leader highlighted that the horrific Israeli massacre in an-Nuseirat refugee camp confirmed the need for an overarching agreement ending the aggression, ensuring the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the entire Gaza Strip, and involving prisoner exchanges and a commitment to rebuild Gaza.

For his part, Fidan offered his condolences over the Gaza martyrs, especially those who were massacred on Saturday in an-Nuseirat camp, and condemned Israel’s ongoing genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip.

The minister talked about the diplomatic efforts being made by Türkiye to support the Palestinian people’s rights and help the mediators reach a ceasefire agreement over Gaza.

The meeting took place one day after the Israeli occupation army launched an all-out attack on an-Nuseirat camp in central Gaza, killing and injuring hundreds of civilians.
