A state of general strike has prevailed, since morning hours on Tuesday, in the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, in protest at the Israeli assassination crime against a number of resistance fighters of Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, in the town of Kafr Nima on Monday evening, amid calls for mass participation in protest sit-ins.
The general strike was launched by the student movement at Birzeit University, calling for the day to be a day of anger in protest at the Israeli attack on the town of Kafr Nima.
The student movement called for a protest sit-in today at eleven in the morning, at Al-Bireh Municipality Square.
Meanwhile, the national and Islamic forces in Ramallah and Al-Bireh launched a general strike on Tuesday in rejection of the assassination crime that left four martyrs, and a number of wounded in the town of Kafr Nima.
On Monday evening, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) assassinated four young men and injured eight others, during armed clashes that erupted between Israeli special forces and resistance fighters in the village of Kafr Nima, west of Ramallah. The bodies of the martyrs are still held in Israel’s custody.
For its part, the Hamas Movement mourned the four martyrs and praised their heroic confrontation of the IOF in defense of the Palestinian people and land.
Hamas called on the West Bank masses to escalate and intensify confrontations and clashes with the IOF and to continue backing up the Gaza Strip in light of the ongoing Israeli war of genocide and brutal massacres.
