A Palestinian boy was martyred, and two citizens were injured by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during fierce clashes that erupted on Saturday evening in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus city in the northern West Bank.
Medical sources at Rafidia Governmental Hospital announced the martyrdom of the boy Sultan Abdurrahman Khatatba, 16, who was killed after IOF shot him in the chest while storming the town.
Violent confrontations erupted after IOF broke into the town of Beit Furik and started firing live bullets towards Palestinian young men and women who threw stones at Israeli troops.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said in a press statement that its medical staff had dealt with 3 injuries with live bullets including the martyr Khatatba, a 45-year-old citizen who was shot in his thigh, and a 16-year-old boy who was shot and injured in his leg.
The PRCS added that the IOF assaulted the driver of Bayt Furik municipality’s ambulance and destroyed the vehicle’s windshield while he was trying to approach one of the victims.
