More than 76% of schools in the Gaza Strip need to be “rebuilt or restored” in order to be able to operate again, according to the Global Education Cluster”, UNRWA said in a post on X on Friday.
UNRWA added that despite the ongoing war on Gaza, its teams “continue to reach children with play and learning activities,” stressing that “education is a fundamental human right.”
The UN agency demanded an immediate ceasefire in the Strip which has been under Israeli bloody aggression for nearly 9 months.
