The Israeli occupation army demolished on Sunday morning five Palestinian homes in Jericho in the West Bank at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
According to local sources, a bulldozer escorted by Israeli forces stormed the village and embarked on knocking down a house belonging to Maan Tannous, although he has ownership and property documents.
The Israeli army also demolished two homes in the same village and two others in the Mershahat area in Jericho. The demolitions displaced entire families, including children.
As is the case in Jerusalem, Palestinian houses and structures in the West Bank are a frequent target for demolition as the Israeli occupation authority makes it very difficult for Palestinian citizens to obtain building permits.
