Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya talked over the phone with the intelligence chiefs of Türkiye and Egypt on Saturday evening and discussed with them the current efforts to end the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
According to the Hamas leader’s office, Haneyya discussed with Ibrahim Kalin, director of Türkiye’s national intelligence organization, and Abbas Kamel, director of Egypt’s general intelligence directorate, the renewed talks to reach a ceasefire agreement over Gaza.
The Hamas leader also reiterated the Movement’s position on any new ceasefire proposal.
During the phone conversations, both of the intelligence officials offered their condolences over the martyrdom of Haneyya’s sister and relatives during a recent Israeli airstrike on their home in Gaza City.
