79 Civil Defense personnel martyred since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza

The Palestinian Civil Defense Service in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday evening that the tally of its personnel who were martyred in Al-Mawasi massacre in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, had risen to three, after one of its members succumbed to his serious wounds.

Gaza Civil Defense said in a brief statement that Bilal Farhan died on Sunday evening of severe injury he sustained in the Al-Mawasi massacre.

It noted that the number of Civil Defense martyrs in the Gaza Strip has risen to 79 since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza which started on October 7, 2023.

The statement announced that rescue and civil defense teams recovered 400 martyrs and wounded people in Al-Mawasi due to the series of airstrikes carried out by the Israeli occupation army, which destroyed 1,200 tents housing thousands of displaced people and damaged a charitable tent and a water desalination plant, in addition to causing damage to roads and streets at an estimated distance of five kilometers.

On Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces committed a heinous massacre against citizens and displaced people in Al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, resulting in 71 martyrs and 289 injuries, including serious cases.
