The Hamas Movement condemned the storming of the Aqsa Mosque by the far-right Israeli national security minister Itamar Ben Gvir on Thursday morning.
The Movement said the move by Itamar Ben Gvir is a “dangerous escalation” that comes as part of “the Zionist extremist government’s attempts to Judaize the Aqsa Mosque.”
Hamas also called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to take “serious action to stop these systemic violations” of the holy site.
Early on Thursday, right-wing Israeli security minister Itamar Ben Gvir desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem under tight police guard.
According to local sources, Ben Gvir escorted by police officers, entered the Mosque through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards.
