Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian citizens’ vehicles south of the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank on Friday.

The settlers pelted the vehicles with stones on the road near the Yitzhar settlement, which is built on Palestinian land south of Nablus, local sources said.

The settlers also closed the main Huwara road, south of Nablus, and prevented vehicles from passing, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF), the sources added.

Meanwhile, other groups of settlers established a new settlement outpost on Friday in the Ramin plain east of Tulkarem in the northern West Bank.

The general supervisor of the Al-Bayder Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, Hassan Malehat, said that a group of Jewish settlers seized land in the Ramin plain east of Tulkarem and began establishing a new settlement outpost in the area.

He added that the settlers brought a flock of sheep and erected fences and barbed wire around the land.

The settlers are gradually taking over a vast area of the Ramin plain through the terrorist activities of members of the new settler outpost, even though these lands are owned by Palestinian citizens.

The Al-Bayder Foundation explained that the settlers who established this outpost had previously carried out attacks on farmers several times, where they chased them, assaulted them physically, and destroyed their crops, in preparation for expelling them and taking control of the land.

The West Bank areas are witnessing continuous incursions by settlers, protected by the occupation forces, accompanied by confrontations on the ground, resulting in the arrest of thousands and the rise of hundreds of martyrs, coinciding with a destructive war on the Gaza Strip, which left tens of thousands of civilian casualties, mostly children and women.

The attacks by settlers on Palestinian citizens in the West Bank come with the support of the Israeli occupation army, which has been waging a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. The devastating war has so far resulted in 38,848 martyrs, 89,459 others injured, mostly children and women, the displacement of about 1.9 million people, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction of the health and educational infrastructure and famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children, according to the United Nations.
