Senior Hamas official Ezzat al-Resheq has affirmed that the Israeli occupation state will certainly be burned by the fire that broke out in Yemen’s Hodeida City on Saturday.
“The occupation state will undoubtedly be consumed by the blaze that it ignited in Hodeida in western Yemen, and the mounting Zionist crimes will change the entire equation,” Resheq said in a statement.
“Yemen and its people, especially the Ansarullah comrades, are paying the price for their stance of pride and honor in defense of Palestine and its people, who are facing a Nazi genocidal war in the Gaza Strip,” Resheq added.
“We ask Allah to accept the victims in Hodeida as martyrs. They are the martyrs of Palestine and Yemen,” the Hamas official said.
The Israeli occupation army said it conducted strikes against Yemen’s Red Sea port city of Hodeida in response to a drone attack on Tel Aviv by the Ansarullah group.
The Israeli airstrikes on Hodeida were carried out one day after the Ansarullah group claimed responsibility for a drone attack that killed one Israeli in Tel Aviv and injured 10 others.
The Ansarullah-affiliated Al-Masirah TV said the Israeli attack targeted oil storage facilities and a power plant in Hodeida, igniting a fire in the area. The news outlet quoted health officials as saying the air raids resulted in casualties, including fatalities, without specifying a number.
