The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped last night and at dawn Monday several Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank, amid clashes in some areas.
According to local sources, violent clashes broke out with Palestinian young men after Israeli forces stormed al-Deheisha refugee camp in eastern Bethlehem and embarked on raiding homes.
Three citizens were reportedly kidnaped during IOF raids in Bethlehem City, al-Deheisha camp and Dawha town.
A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that Israeli forces detained and maltreated a number of young men during a raid in Azzun town, east of Qalqilya City.
He also reported that Israeli soldiers deliberately caused damage to public and private property in Azzun town.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses in Azzun town said that the IOF kidnaped many young men from the town.
In Ramallah, violent clashes took place between local youths and Israeli forces in the towns of Sinjil and Turmus Ayya.
The IOF reportedly set up a checkpoint at the main entrance of Turmus Ayya town, where citizens were stopped for security checks.
An elderly man was kidnaped by the IOF from his home in Silwad town, northeast of Ramallah.
In Jenin, a citizen suffered a bullet injury after an Israeli soldier opened fire at him near Faqqu’ah town.
The IOF also stormed other areas of the West Bank last night and at dawn Monday, with no reported arrests.
