The Hamas Movement has called on the international community and the UN to necessarily take urgent action to stop Israel’s systematic massacres against the Gaza people, who have been facing genocide in full view of the entire world for long months.
Hamas made the remarks in a statement on Monday in light of the Israeli occupation army’s escalation of its attacks on civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the eastern areas of Khan Yunis.
“Our people will remain steadfast on their land and our resistance will remain loyal to its oath to resist this criminal enemy that seeks to displace our people and obliterate our national cause,” Hamas said.
At least 70 Palestinians were killed and over 200 were wounded following the launch of a new Israeli large-scale attack on eastern Khan Yunis, according to Al Jazeera satellite channel.
The Israeli army’s aerial and artillery attacks started a few minutes after it issued evacuation orders that led to the displacement of thousands of people from eastern Khan Yunis.
