The Government Media Office (GMO) revealed that the Israeli attacks on Khan Yunis governorate killed 57 people and injured 172 others within 10 hours.
In a statement, the Office said it received more than 1,200 appeals for help from besieged families asking to be rescued.
“This morning, the Israeli occupation army began a new aggression against Khan Yunis Governorate, committing crimes against humanity through indiscriminate bombing of citizens’ homes and groups of displaced people in the area,” the GMO said.
Of the 57 people killed, “49 were taken to Nasser Medical Complex, while other martyrs were taken to other hospitals,” it added.
The Office pointed out that many victims were left under the rubble or in the streets, with civil defense crew unable to reach them due to the heavy bombing.
It further noted that the Israeli forces bombed at least 10 homes, some of them over the heads of their residents.
The GMO condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli horrific massacres against civilians and displaced people in Khan Yunis Governorate.
It also held Israel and the US administration fully responsible for the continuation of these massacres against the Palestinian people.
