Member of Hamas’s political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk has said that “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle has managed to create a new reality that brought the Palestinian question back to the forefront of international attention.

Addressing a recent meeting held by major Palestinian factions in China, Abu Marzouk affirmed that before the launch of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood,” the Palestinian cause had faced an existential threat, Israeli conspiracies, and deliberate marginalization from the US administration and Western and regional countries.

Abu Marzouk also said that the Palestinian cause regained its prestige in the world, especially in Asia, adding that China’s hosting of inter-Palestinian national talks reflected its care for the Palestinian people’s aspirations and their national cause.

Abu Marzouk expressed his belief that “what happened on October 7 (2023) was like an earthquake that struck the foundations and bases of the Zionist colonial project.”

“The [Aqsa Flood] battle brought about major changes at the level of the Zionist project, which moved from being an existential threat to the Palestinian cause to a place where it is facing existential threats,” Abu Marzouk underscored.

“America is the one that is steering the war on Gaza alongside the Zionist entity. They treated what happened as an existential threat to Israel and a great danger to the US projects in the region,” the Hamas official said.

He scoffed at Israeli leaders’ belief that their crimes in Gaza would erase the shame of Israel’s strategic defeat on October 7.
