At least 35,000 Palestinian worshipers performed Friday prayer at the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem, despite Israeli restrictions.
According to the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem, around 35,000 Muslims performed the Friday prayer at the holy shrine.
Since the early morning hours, the Israeli police have blocked several roads leading to the Old City of Jerusalem and hindered the movement of Palestinian citizens.
Local sources affirmed that the Israeli forces prevented a number of young men from entering the Aqsa Mosque, and assaulted them with clubs, which led to the injury of a number of them.
A worshiper, who holds foreign citizenship, was injured in the head during the attack, the sources added.
Meanwhile, two journalists working for TRT were brutally attacked by the Israeli forces for covering the attack.
Since the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli authorities have imposed more restrictions on West Bankers’ entry to the Aqsa Mosque compound.
