Major Palestinian factions have called for necessarily organizing a national and international day in support of Gaza and the Palestinian prisoners next Saturday, August 3, and actively participating in its events.
In a statement released following their meeting on Monday, the factions stressed the importance of participating in activities to be held on this day at home and abroad and in capital cities around the world in order to rally support for Gaza and the Palestinian prisoners and expose Israel’s crimes against them.
The factions called for imposing sanctions on the Israeli occupation state and prosecuting its leaders for their ongoing war crimes and violations against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Jerusalem.
They also pointed to the exposure of the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails to torture, abuse and medical neglect, which led to the death of several of them since the start of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza.
