The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, asserted on Thursday that the occupation army’s bombardment of a school sheltering displaced people in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City is a new massacre added to its long series of crimes.

Hamas said in a statement, “In a new massacre added to the long series of massacres committed by the criminal Zionist occupation army as part of its ongoing aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip, the fascist occupation army deliberately bombed the Dalal Al-Maghribi school in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, which was sheltering displaced people resulting in the martyrdom of about 15 people and about 40 injuries, most of them women and children.”

The Movement called on the Arab and Islamic peoples and the free people of the world to escalate the angry public protests and pressure to stop the Israeli war of extermination.

It called on the United Nations, international courts, and all relevant parties to take serious and powerful action “to stop the war crimes being committed by war criminal Netanyahu and his terrorist army, and to end their silence in the face of this collective killing under the very eyes of the world.”

Earlier on Thursday, the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced the martyrdom of 15 Palestinians and the injury of others when an Israeli aircraft targeted the Dalal Al-Maghribi school, which was sheltering displaced people in Gaza City.

The Israeli occupation army has been waging a bloody aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, with American and European support bombing the vicinity of hospitals, buildings, towers, and homes of Palestinian civilians, destroying them over the heads of their inhabitants, and preventing the entry of water, food, medicine, and fuel.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has led to the martyrdom of 39,480 citizens, the injury of 91,128 others, and the displacement of 90% of the inhabitants of the Strip, according to local data.
