Israeli occupation forces have arrested last night 26 Palestinians, bringing the total number of arrests in the West Bank and Jerusalem to approximately 10,000 since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza on October 7 last year, according to a joint statement by the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) and the Detainees and ex-detainees Affairs Commission.
The two groups pointed out that these figures do not include the detainees from the Gaza Strip, whose numbers are estimated at thousands.
In conjunction with its devastating war on the Gaza Strip that has been ongoing since October 7, the Israeli occupation army has been escalating its military operations in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, leading to the martyrdom of 620 people and the injury of about 5,400 others, according to official Palestinian data.
