The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched last night a large-scale campaign in the West Bank, where they raided dozens of homes, kidnaped a number of citizens and clashed with local youths and resistance fighters.

Several citizens were also injured during this IOF campaign, which continued into Monday morning.

According to local sources, Israeli troops stormed Jenin City at dawn and clashed with resistance fighters in its streets.

Eyewitnesses said that the IOF entered Jenin City through an-Nasira street and embarked on opening fire at local youths, injuring two of them.

They added that the IOF kidnaped two citizens during raids on homes in Jenin and rampaged through a commercial store in the Old City.

Al-Quds Brigades of Islamic Jihad said that a group of its fighters clashed with Israeli forces in different areas of Jenin City and detonated explosive devices at them.

In al-Khalil, Israeli forces stormed al-Fawwar refugee camp last night and showered local residents with tear gas canisters.

Several citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas during the IOF raid in al-Fawwar camp.

The IOF reportedly kidnaped two citizens from their homes in al-Fawwar camp and Khursa village in al-Khalil province.

Israeli soldiers also broke into a house in Beit Ummar town, north of al-Khalil, and wreaked havoc on its furniture and contents, with no reported arrests.

In Qalqilya, the IOF kidnaped a young man following raids on homes in Hajja village.

In Nablus, Israeli forces stormed Madama village, blocked its entrances and raided several homes, amid tear gas attacks on local residents.

Local official Abdullah Ziyadah said that many citizens in Madama suffered from inhaling tear gas fumes.

Since yesterday, the IOF has been besieging and raiding several Palestinian villages and hamlets in the northern Jordan Valley, where resistance fighters killed a Jewish settler and injured another one in a shooting operation.

Meanwhile, a horde of extremist Jewish settlers physically attacked Palestinian citizens and foreign activists and tried to steal about 200 head of sheep as they were grazing in as-Sakout area in the northern Jordan Valley.

Local activist Aref Daraghmeh said that the settlers assaulted the shepherds who own the herd and a number of foreign activists, who stood up for themselves and fended off the assailants.

Settlers also attacked a Palestinian home and stole nine head of sheep in Khirbet al-Hamma hamlet in the northern Jordan Valley.

Another horde of settlers escorted by soldiers threw stones at Palestinian cars at the entrance of Deir Ballut town, west of Salfit, causing damage to a number of them.

Since Israel started its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, armed settler groups have been carrying out attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property on a near-daily basis in the West Bank, including east Jerusalem and the Jordan Valley.

Violent settler attacks in the West Bank have displaced Palestinian families from 20 rural herding communities and uprooted at least seven communities since October 7, 2023, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said in a report last April, adding that the Israeli military either participated in those attacks or did not protect Palestinians from it.

“Settlers and soldiers have displaced entire Palestinian communities, destroying every home, with the apparent backing of higher Israeli authorities,” Bill Van Esveld, associate children’s rights director at HRW, said in the report.

“While the attention of the world is focused on Gaza, abuses in the West Bank, fueled by decades of impunity and complacency among Israel’s allies, are soaring,” he added.
