The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) issued on Monday land confiscation notices to seize 14 dunums of the towns of Haris and Qarawa Bani Hassan, west of Salfit.
The activist in the field of settlement, Nazmi Al-Salman, stated that the IOA handed over a military order to confiscate the aforementioned area of the Bardoun basin in Qarawa Bani Hassan and Al-Buriji land in Haris.
The confiscation order remains valid for four years until 2028, and citizens can object within a period of only 7 days, he added.
This decision comes in favor of a nearby Jewish-only settlement, which is illegally established east of Qarawa Bani Hassan, and has been witnessing construction works in recent months.
The settlement housing units can be seen along the right side of the main street that connects the western towns of Salfit Governorate.
