The spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, Abu Obeida, said on Thursday that the Hamas guard who killed on Monday an Israeli captive in the Gaza Strip acted in revenge against instructions after he got news that his two children were killed in an Israeli airstrike.
Abu Obeida said, “The incident doesn’t represent our ethics and the teachings of our religion in dealing with prisoners. We will tighten the instructions as it has been repeated two times so far.”
He charged Israel with full responsibility for the incident and attributed it to the Israeli brutal massacres against Palestinians.
The Al-Qassam Brigades published a photo of one of the Israeli occupation prisoners who was killed with the message: “Your brutality has become an imminent danger to your prisoners. Time is running out.”
Last Monday, the spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, announced that two Al-Qassam members assigned to guard Israeli prisoners had killed one of them and seriously injured two Israeli women in two separate incidents, explaining that attempts are being made to save their lives.
