Israeli warplanes bombed a school sheltering hundreds of displaced Palestinians in al-Rimal suburb in Gaza City on Tuesday morning killing ten civilians, including women and children, and injuring many others.
Gaza’s Civil Defense said in a statement that the raid targeted Mustafa Hafez School, adding that ten citizens were killed and dozens were injured.
It noted in a press release that 700 citizens had taken refuge in the school after the Israeli bombardment of Gaza City over the past ten months had destroyed their homes.
The Civil Defense underlined that the Israeli occupation forces had recently shelled nine schools sheltering displaced persons in the Gaza Strip.
