Palestinian resistance fighters confronted the Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) raid into the city of Nablus, north of the West Bank, at dawn on Friday.
Resistance fighters opened fire and threw a number of explosive devices at the IOF vehicles that stormed the city from the At-Tur checkpoint.
Footage of homemade explosive devices exploding in Israeli military vehicles went viral on social media, amid violent clashes in the city.
This coincided with the outbreak of violent clashes in different neighborhoods of Nablus, mainly in its old town, during which the IOF opened indiscriminate machinegun fire.
Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics reported that a 17-year-old teen was injured by live shots in the foot during the raid.
The IOF raided Al-Saha, Khallet Al-Amoud, Ras Al-Ain, Al-Dahiya, Talat Habs Al-Dam, Kurum Ashour areas, and several neighborhoods inside and around the old town.
Heavy gunfire, explosions, and smoke bombs were heard in the area. A number of snipers were also deployed on the roofs of local houses and shops.
The IOF troops raided several homes, one of which belongs to the Shaaban family, and destroyed their contents.
