The Hamas Movement said on Wednesday that Israel’s recent attacks on the West Bank which include besieging hospitals in the cities of Tulkarem and Jenin, bulldozing the roads in their vicinity and blocking traffic of ambulances and vehicles as well as preventing them from reaching the wounded, as part of its large-scale barbaric military campaign across the occupied West Bank, represent a serious violation of international and humanitarian laws, and pose a threat to the lives of hundreds of patients and medical staff in the hospitals.
Hamas warned of the Israeli occupation army’s criminal intentions towards the Palestinians in the West Bank, and its civilian facilities, especially hospitals, similar to its brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip, which targeted health facilities, hospitals, and medical complexes, in an attempt to continue the war of genocide against civilians in Gaza.
It called on the international community, the World Health Organization, and the International Committee of the Red Cross to take urgent action to force Israel to stop targeting hospitals and health facilities, as well as its escalating crimes and violations against the Palestinian people, land and sanctities.
Youth calls have been launched to escalate the confrontation at all flashpoints with Israeli occupation forces and to intensify confrontations in all cities, villages, and towns in the West Bank.
The calls stressed the need to expand the scope of confrontations to include new points in order to create comprehensive field pressure in light of the fierce campaign and ongoing aggression the Palestinian people are being subjected to in the areas of Tubas, Tulkarem and Jenin.
