The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) and Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission said, “the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out brutal field investigations with Palestinians in Tulkarem, Jenin, Tubas and Ramallah in the West Bank.”
In a joint statement, the two human rights groups affirmed on Wednesday evening that “the IOF committed violations against detained Palestinians, according to testimonies by recently released prisoners whose bodies showed signs of torture.”
Media sources revealed that “the IOF forced a number of Palestinians out of their homes in Jenin, in the northern West Bank, before snipers occupied their houses’ rooftops.”
Eyewitnesses reported that “the IOF encircled Jenin Hospital, amid fierce clashes.”
They added that “the IOF stormed dozens of houses in Nour Shams Camp, in Tulkarem, northwest of the West Bank and turned some of them into detention and investigation centers.”
The Hebrew Channel 14 claimed that an Israeli soldier was wounded as a result of being targeted by “gunmen” in the Jenin camp in the West Bank.
On the other hand, the IOF arrested dozens of Palestinians who were present in a building in al-Fara’a camp in the city of Nablus.
