Member of Hamas’s political bureau Ezzat al-Resheq has held the Israeli occupation regime and the US administration fully responsible for the death of Israeli prisoners held by the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.

“The one that bears responsibility for the death of prisoners held by the resistance is the occupation, which insists on continuing the war of genocide and evading reaching a ceasefire agreement, and the American administration due to its bias, support and partnership in this aggression,” Resheq said in a statement on Sunday.

“The occupation kills our people daily with American weapons. The bodies of prisoners, who were found in the Gaza Strip, were only killed by the relentless Zionist bombardment,” Resheq underlined.

“If president [Joe] Biden really cares about the prisoners’ lives, he should stop supporting this enemy with money and weapons and pressure the occupation to end its aggression immediately,” Resheq added.

“Those who will pay the price for these brutal crimes and the genocidal war that have been going on against our people for eleven months are Netanyahu, his extremist government and all the supporters of this aggression,” Resheq stressed.

The Hamas official held Biden himself and his administration responsible for the daily war crimes and the genocidal war in Gaza, where over 150,000 people were either killed or injured, mostly children and women.

“As he leaves the White House, Biden will go down in history as a partner and supporter of [Israeli] war criminals, Netanyahu and his gang,” he said.

“Hamas has always been more concerned about the prisoners’ lives than Biden himself, so it had agreed to his [ceasefire] proposal and the Security Council resolution, but both of them were rejected by Netanyahu, while [Biden’s] administration submitted to the demands of Netanyahu, who seeks to obstruct the efforts to reach an agreement in order to preserve his authority,” the Hamas official emphasized.
