The spokesman for the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Ashraf al-Qudra, said on Sunday that the first day of the polio vaccination campaign launched by UNRWA in Central Gaza witnessed a great turnout.
Al-Qudra added in a statement that “470 health teams were distributed to medical points, shelter centers, main streets and places of citizens’ gatherings.”
For its part, the UNRWA announced, in a tweet on X, that “the first stage of the campaign aims to vaccinate those under the age of ten, and that it races time to reach more than 600,000 children in the Strip in the coming days.”
