IOF kidnaps several Palestinians in W. Bank raids

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped last night and on Tuesday morning a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank, amid clashes in some areas.

According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped eight citizens from their homes in Qalqilya.

The IOF also deployed snipers on an apartment building near the Abu Ali Ziyad plaza and raided a cemetery during its campaign in Qalqilya City.

Another citizen was taken prisoner following an IOF raid in Azzun town, east of Qalqilya.

In Bethlehem, Israeli forces kidnaped three citizens from Wadi Freiha area, Teqoa town and Beit Fajjar town.

Local sources in Bethlehem said that the IOF set up several security cameras near the main entrance of Beit Sahour town.

In al-Khalil, the IOF kidnaped three citizens from their homes in Sa’ir town.

Two other young citizens were assaulted and kidnaped by Israeli forces in al-Fawwar refugee camp.

In Tubas, the IOF kidnaped a young man, a resident of Tamun town, as he was en route to his workplace.

In Nablus, a large number of Israeli troops stormed Balata refugee camp and clashed with local youths in al-Souk street.

In Ramallah, Israeli soldiers stormed and rampaged through the campus of Birzeit University, where they reportedly confiscated belongings and publications related to student activities.

The soldiers also put up notices on the university’s walls threatening to destroy the future of students if they participated in student activities.

In a related context, the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ an Ex-Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said on Tuesday that the IOF kidnaped at least 22 citizens during raids in the West Bank and Jerusalem in the past hours.

Over 10,400 Palestinian citizens from the West Bank and Jerusalem have been detained or jailed since Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip started 11 months ago, according to the Commission and PPS.
