The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, broadcast on Wednesday two recordings of two Israeli prisoners, one male and one female, among the six prisoners whose bodies were recovered by the Israeli occupation army inside a tunnel in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on Saturday.

The slain prisoner, Lubnov Alexander, said in the recording that he was “captured on October 7th from the Re’im party”, stressing that “the captives are living difficult conditions due to the scarcity of basic needs such as water, electricity and food.”

“We are scared and can barely sleep. They have moved me ten times to save my life,” he added.

Addressing Benjamin Netanyahu and his government, Alexander said, “You have failed. You abandoned us on October 7. Now you continue to fail in every attempt to free us alive.”

He went on saying, “You are just trying to kill us so that you do not reach a deal. I am asking for help from my friends and the people of Israel because I left behind a pregnant wife, a two-year-old son, and sick parents. Help them make my voice heard. Go out to the streets, demonstrate, and do everything to get us out of here while we are still alive.”

He spoke about the Gilad Shalit deal, saying: “I remind you that in the Shalit deal, more than a thousand Palestinian prisoners were released.”

The other slain Israeli prisoner, Carmel Gat, said in the video clip that she was “captured from her father’s house on October 7,” and that she suffers from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s neglect of the prisoners who face death every moment due to Israeli targeting.

Gat added that she “is being held under extremely difficult conditions without water, food or cleaning supplies,” and that she does not know anything about other prisoners who were with her.

“I do not know if I will get out alive from this non-stop Israeli bombing,” she added.

“I hope the Israeli government, headed by Benjamin Netanyahu, will stop this neglect and this bombing and return us to our homes,” she said.

She called on “the Israelis to continue demonstrating in order to return the prisoners to their homes alive,” adding, “Do not give in and do not let anyone close the door to negotiations.”

The Israeli occupation army announced on Sunday, “the recovery of the bodies of six detainees after they were found inside a tunnel in the Gaza Strip,” confirming that “their identities have been determined.”

For its part, Hamas Movement confirmed that “the captives were killed by the ongoing Israeli occupation bombing of the Gaza Strip.”

The spokesman for the Israeli occupation army, Daniel Hagari, said that “the six bodies were found in a tunnel in the Rafah area in the southern Gaza Strip, where Israeli forces have been carrying out a ground operation for months.”

Hamas held the Israeli occupation authorities and the US administration responsible for the killing of the prisoners.

Meanwhile, the families of the Israeli prisoners launched a violent attack on Netanyahu, addressing him by saying, “Stop creating the alleged support of the captives and seeking to recover them while you are doing everything to thwart the deal.”

A group representing the families of the Israeli prisoners in Gaza asked Netanyahu on Thursday to stop wearing the special badge in solidarity with their relatives, at a time when he is obstructing the conclusion of any deal to return them back.

According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the captives’ families said in a statement, “We demand that Netanyahu stop wearing the abductees’ solidarity pin,” considering that whoever wears it “is the one who expresses unconditional support for the return of the abductees and shows sympathy with their families.”

Since last Sunday, angry protests have escalated in Israel, especially among the families of the prisoners, after the Israeli occupation army announced the recovery of six bodies of prisoners from a tunnel in the city of Rafah, south of Gaza.

Israeli media reported that the names of at least three of the recovered killed captives were included in the previous deal proposed two months ago, before Netanyahu added new conditions that hindered its implementation.
