The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) withdrew at dawn Friday from Jenin city and its refugee camp after 10 days of ongoing brutal aggression that killed and wounded dozens of citizens and left grave damage.

Citizens expressed their concerns over the possibility that the IOF would return to storm the city and its camp again, as Israeli troops were deployed at nearby military checkpoints, as happened in many previous incursions.

At least 21 citizens, including children and elderly people, were martyred, and others were seriously injured in the most violent Israeli aggression on Jenin since 2002.

During the aggression, the IOF forcibly compelled dozens of residents to evacuate their homes, destroying some of them and turning others into military barracks.

The IOF also arrested many citizens and caused great damage to the streets and infrastructure in Jenin city and camp.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Civil Defense confirmed that the IOF carried out a systematic destruction of buildings, facilities, and roads, which hindered the movement of the people.

The ongoing Israeli aggression against Jenin also led on Thursday evening to a power outage in a number of neighborhoods of the city of Jenin and its camp, due to the destruction of the streets and electricity lines in Jenin camp.

Earlier today, the North Electricity Distribution Company condemned the Israeli attack that targeted, on Thursday, the headquarters of the company’s branch in the city, causing damage to the firm’s vehicles.

The company said in a statement, that the IOF surrounded a building in the vicinity of the company’s branch, broke into the main yard of the building, and blocked the movement of the company’s cars.

It added that the IOF also besieged the employees inside the building, before causing damage to the company’s vehicles, and confiscating one of them.
