The Israeli occupation forces (IOF), escorted by bulldozers, carried out extensive demolitions and bulldozing operations in the “Al-Tayyibah area, northwest of al-Khalil Governorate, in the southern West Bank.
Ayman Shalaldeh, a local Palestinian resident, reported that locals in the al-Tayyibah area were only able to access the area after a week of being barred by the IOF. Upon their arrival, they discovered the destruction of 45 agricultural and residential shacks, he added.
One of the demolished structures was a two-story agricultural residence owned by Shalaldeh, consisting of a water tank and storage area on the first floor and living quarters on the second, covering an area of 65 square meters and built of stone.
Shalaldeh stressed that these residences were licensed by the Tarqumiyah Municipality and had access to water and electricity services, noting that the IOF consistently prevent farmers from reaching their lands, and that settlers’ attacks have escalated since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip.
