Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) released Saturday morning nine prisoners from the Gaza Strip, all of whom were rounded up during the ongoing aggression on the Strip since October 7, 2023.

The nine released prisoners arrived in Gaza through Karam Abu Salem crossing, before being transferred to the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

Signs of torture and obvious ulcers appeared on the bodies of the released prisoners. Doctors reported that signs of fatigue, exhaustion, malnutrition, and torture were clearly seen on the bodies of all released prisoners.

Local sources published the names of some of the released detainees.

Since the outbreak of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza last October, many Palestinian and international human rights organizations have spoken of the deterioration of the situation in the Israeli occupation prisons, especially in the Sde Teiman detention camp.

Since that date, thousands of citizens from the Gaza Strip have been arrested, and currently there are about 2,500 male and female captives from the Strip languishing in Israeli jails, according to Qadoura Faris, the head of the Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission.
