Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have escalated demolition operations of homes and facilities in the West Bank, with a total of 150 demolished structures in Jericho, since October 7, 2023. The demolitions come as part of the Israeli policies of displacement and land seizure for settlement expansion.
On Monday, the IOF demolished a house in the village of Al-Jiftlik, north of the city of Jericho, while settlers bulldozed lands in Salfit in the West Bank.
The IOF stormed the village of Al-Jiftlik and demolished a two-story house that was built more than 15 years ago in the Al-Muthalath area and belongs to the citizen Nael Mustafa Bani Odeh.
In Salfit, settlers bulldozed areas of land in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, west of the city.
Meanwhile, a group of settlers carried out land bulldozing operations in the Bir Abu Ammar area, northwest of the town.
The area is considered one of the archaeological, touristic and recreational areas for the town’s residents, where horse competitions, shows and many social activities are held.
